Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this. Stunning, fully restored, antique fret work carved Thomas Chippendale style large coffee table circa 1890. In a modern sense this would be classed as a coffee table, but the traditional use was for silver items to be laid out for display, they then went to tea tables where again you would have luxury services laid out. The timber is all solid mahogany, the fret work carving is nicely executed. This has been fully restored by my French polisher, it still has some period patina marks here and there which were left in as they are right for the piece and age. For those that know what this is, it's considered the height of class style and sophistication.
Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
